Our early learning teams include dedicated, qualified and passionate individuals who are led by an experienced early learning and safeguarding teams. We love what we do and work together to give children a great start in life!

Y Whittlesea Early Learning is part of Y Whittlesea (formerly YMCA). As a not-for-profit, Y Whittlesea is led by a dedicated voluntary Board of Directors, as well as experienced Executive Leadership Teams who specialise in our service areas like recreation, diversity and inclusion and education.

Rebecca Davis- General Manager Early Years

Rebecca, General Manager - Early Learning

Rebecca is a highly regarded Early Years leader with 25 years of experience across roles from Educator to Kindergarten Teacher to Centre Manager, and now General Manager of Operations, bringing a deep commitment to quality early learning, relationship-driven leadership, and creating environments where children, educators and communities truly thrive.

Belinda Turner- Early Learning Administration Officer

Belinda, Early Learning Administration Officer

Belinda brings over 30 years of Early Years experience, including 14 years at Y Whittlesea across roles from Educator to Centre Manager, and in her current role as Early Years Administration Lead, channels that expertise into supporting managers and building strong family relationships around administrative and financial needs.

Nicole, Safeguarding and Risk Lead

Nicole, Risk and Safeguarding Lead

Nicole leads safeguarding and risk across Y Whittlesea's early learning centres, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child in our care through robust policies, staff training and a culture where children and families always feel safe. Her work is guided by a deep commitment to best practice and a belief that every child has the right to a secure and nurturing environment.

Funda, EYES Coordinator

Funda, Early Childhood and Family Inclusion Support Coordinator

Funda is Y Whittlesea's Early Intervention Specialist, working alongside children, families and educators to identify needs early and connect families with the right supports, services and resources. Her work is guided by a genuine belief that with the right foundations in place, every child has the potential to thrive.

Centre team structure

  • Centre Directors

    Lead an early learning service, ensuring we provide a high-quality service focused on quality, compliance and safety.

  • Educational Leader

    Drive and support the educational program within the service, driving quality outcomes aligned to the National Quality Standard (NQS).

  • Early Childhood Teachers

    Deliver kindergarten programs for three to 5 year olds.

  • Room Leaders

    Oversee daily operations, guide staff, and manage the program and curriculum.

  • Early Childhood Educators

    Plan programs and activities, and support children's learning, development and routines.

  • Cooks

    Prepare fresh, healthy and delicious tailored to dietary needs.
